Girls Intro to Hockey
COGH and USA Hockey are committed to grassroots growth of the girls game, and each year we partner to offer a series of events to help introduce our sport to girls who are unfamiliar with hockey or who want to get going themselves.
This program is open to girls who are completely new to hockey and want to give it a try, girls who have recently started, and girls who are currently playing. We encourage those girls currently playing to be an ambassador and invite a "new-to-hockey" friend to register and join these introductory opportunities. This is a great way to connect with girls and women in the game!
Ages
The program is targeted to children in the 5-12 year age range who are new to hockey and have yet to participate on a team or in an organized hockey program. Many events are open to all ages and specific events may vary, so please look at the activity description for details.
COST
The events in our Girls Introduction to Hockey program vary from year to year; however, in general, these opportunities are low-cost and include FREE giveaway items!

There are typically multiple events in this program so location and times may vary. See the individual event descriptions for specific details.
What Do I Need?
Participants just need to want to give hockey a try! Rental skates are available free of charge or you can bring your own skates/equipment. Full gear is NOT required. We'll have coaches on ice to help and we'll provide sticks and pucks to borrow for the event.

Calling all New and Beginner (5-12yr old) future players (current players are welcome to join and invite a friend!) -- This is your chance to get on the ice, try skating, then take it to the next level and see why Girls Love Hockey!
