Girls Intro to Hockey
COGH and USA Hockey are committed to grassroots growth of the girls game, and we are teaming up to offer a series of events to help introduce our sport to girls who are unfamiliar with hockey or who want to get going themselves.
This program is open to 40 new-to-hockey registrants, so sign up quickly. This is a great way to connect with girls and women in the game!
Ages
This introduction is targeted to children in the 5-12 year age group but is open to children of all ages who are new to hockey and have yet to participate on a team or in an organized hockey program.
COST
One $25 registration fee covers all three events and a cool hockey jersey and t-shirt. This program does not prorate for the individual activities.
WHEN AND WHERE
There are three events in this program:
May 31 - Intro to Hockey on-ice session. Join us at Chiller Dublin (6:50pm) for a basic skating/hockey clinic. No hockey gear required; however, we recommend a helmet (bring your bike helmet or borrow a helmet at the rink), snow pants, and gloves!
June 3 - All Girls skate. Practice those new skating skills with your new hockey friends at Chiller Dublin (12:30pm). No equipment necessary and there will be plenty of coaches and ambassadors will be on hand to help everyone.
June 10 - Street Hockey at Tuttle Park (10am). There's a cool outdoor hockey facility where we'll have some fun in the sun (in our shoes!). The kids will be able to practice some basic stick and shooting skills, then we'll just play and have fun!
